Richard is the Principal Fire Safety Engineer within the Canberra office. He has over 15 years experience in the construction industry, having worked across the public and private sectors and in multiple jurisdictions across Australia.
He has experience delivering a variety of projects across Australia, including new and existing buildings for residential, office buildings, shopping centres, educational facilities and health care facilities. He has also worked on infrastructure and high hazard projects, such as port facilities and power plants.
Richard has a strong understanding of the regulatory framework within the Australian built environment having worked as an assistant manager at the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB). Richard has considerable experience in evaluating fire safety risks associated with combustible cladding and other elements. This includes undertaking onsite inspections, risk evaluation, stakeholder consultation, and developing risk treatment strategies. Richard also specialises in addressing and resolving conflicts between physical security and fire safety within the built environment.
