Brendan Rocha

Director

Brendan is a Director of Lit Consulting. With over 15 years experience in the ACT construction industry, Brendan has earnt himself a reputation as a highly skilled professional, which is reflected in the projects he has delivered.

Proficient in all fire-related aspects of the Building Code of Australia, Brendan focuses on providing efficient, cost-effective and practical fire safety engineering solutions. He has worked on many high-profile projects with budgets of up to $1 billion in both public and private sectors.

Brendan specialises in complex mixed-use building designs, hospitals and other health care facilities, large residential complexes and precincts, offices and shopping centres.

In addition to his role with Lit Consulting, Brendan is the current Chair of the Society of Fire Safety (ACT) a technical society of Engineers Australia for fire safety professionals. He also sits on the National Executive Committee. Within these roles, he is responsible for organising and chairing State committee meetings as well as partaking in quarterly National Board meetings. Since being elected to this position in 2015, Brendan has been active in developing internal, State and Territory guidelines and policies.

Brendan is accredited as a Chartered Member of Engineers Australia (CPEng) in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering and Fire Safety Engineering; a Registered Engineer on the National Engineering Register (NER) in Building Services and Fire Safety; a Registered Professional Engineer (Fire Engineering) in Queensland (RPEQ) in Building Services and Fire Safety; a C10 Accredited Certifier – Fire Safety Engineer in NSW; and a Registered Building Practitioner (Fire safety engineer) in Victoria.
